Job Summary
As the Sheetmetal Lead, you will aid the Crew Chief in managing the work of the Sheet/Structures department, performing sheet metal repairs and modifications to aircraft. Duties include using precision measuring instruments, operating sheet metal equipment, and constructing tools as required. You are responsible for documentation, interpreting blueprints and maintenance manuals, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Candidates must have high school education and 5-7 years of aircraft sheet metal experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5-7+ years aircraft sheet metal experience
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to work overtime, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with avionics and antenna installs
- Proven mechanical and technical aptitude
- Proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools, including precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, protractors, etc.)
- Prior experience operating sheet metal machinery to fabricate units with complex contours and multiple angles
- Ability to work through disciplinary issues and problem resolution
- Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written
