Job Summary
Forming Fabricator Lead leads and coordinates daily forming fabrication activities in aerospace manufacturing, acts as a focal point for interplant communication to meet quality requirements, mentors production staff, trains team members on equipment and processes, develops production schedules, monitors safety, quality standards, and lean manufacturing initiatives, and supports continuous improvement and on-time delivery while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with supervisors/managers, troubleshooting production issues, maintaining safe and organized work environments, enforcing policies, and participating in cross-functional process-improvement efforts. The role may require overtime and may involve working at multiple work centers as needed, with emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- 1+ years in a leadership / lead role
- Experience reading blueprints
- Knowledge of production processes and equipment
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
