Job Summary
Lead sheet metal crews on commercial construction projects by assigning daily tasks, reading blueprints and shop drawings, and coordinating manpower and equipment to maintain productivity. Enforce safety policies through toolbox talks and OSHA compliance, while inspecting work for quality and code adherence. Collaborate with superintendents and other trades to resolve field issues, and maintain daily logs, production reports, and timekeeping records. Mentor apprentices and support crew development to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of sheet metal experience in commercial construction
- Previous Foreman or lead-level supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork installation, blueprints, and applicable codes
- Proven ability to lead crews, coordinate work activities, and meet project deadlines
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
