Sheeter Operator

Job Summary
Operate the Sheeter machine to maximize product quality and minimize waste while mounting rolls, removing skids, and making changeovers to increase productivity. Measure sheet dimensions, adjust settings for production tolerances, and perform quality inspections on finished goods. Maintain the machine and area according to good housekeeping standards and follow all EH&S rules, hazardous waste management procedures, and flammable liquid transfer protocols. Prepare accurate reports and records, initiate ideas to improve quality and reduce costs, and perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor/Shift Lead.
Required Qualifications
- Annual training required in hazardous waste management, including contingency plan implementation and effective response to hazardous waste emergencies as defined by this facilities LA DEQ approved plan
- Follows all Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instruction, and Good Manufacturing Practices pertaining to Food Safety
- Ability to climb stairs, walk, stoop, bend, coordinate eye/hand, pull, push, see, write, listen, speak, grasp, and lift
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, communicate, coordinate, compose, read, calculate, compare, detect, sort, compute
