Job Summary
Perform MIG welding on sheet metal components, read blueprints and welding symbols, assemble parts using clamps and fixtures, weld in flat/vertical/overhead positions, and inspect welds for dimensional accuracy and quality. Work with steel and aluminum, prepare materials via tack welding, grinding, and related fabrication techniques. Select appropriate welding methods based on material and job specifications, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and support meeting daily production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience welding light-gauge sheet metal materials.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and understand welding symbols.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, straightedges, templates, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
