Job Summary
Provide overall direction for field installation of assigned projects, managing labor coordination, quality control, and safety. Lead plan-reading, coordination, layout, sketching, and materials take-off while confirming construction drawings align with contract scope. Manage manpower loading, maintain two-week look-ahead schedules, and handle daily reports, submittal logs, and RFI status. Respond to general contractor requests regarding scope limits and influence trades stacking and phasing. Ensure safety programs and building code compliance are implemented effectively. Forecast labor and material costs with the project team. Requires managing five or more crews on projects over $500K with three years of craft supervision experience.
Required Qualifications
- experience managing 5 or more crews of 2-3 workers each
- verifiable experience working on projects of $500K or more
- 3 years craft supervision experience in similar facility construction
- advanced knowledge of how jobs are assembled in the field
- ability to manage to the budget, plan to the schedule, plan for the unexpected, meet or exceed project deadlines, while keeping safety first
- ability to influence the workers to do it the company way and the installation to reflect the Company brand
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- 0-5% of the time will be spent traveling to the job site(s)/office locations
- ability to climb stairs
- ability to repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- ability to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- tolerance for outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
- tolerance for high temperature
- tolerance for low temperature
- tolerance for noisy environment
- ability to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds
