Job Summary
Lead Technician (Sheetmetal) responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair/replacement of systems. Reads blueprints to determine component needs, follows specifications and codes, and collaborates with team to complete projects. Diagnoses malfunctions using hand tools and testing equipment, tests repaired equipment, and reassembles. Maintains quality by adhering to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and company guidelines; prepares detailed reports of work performed, parts used, time spent, and any issues. Performs cost estimation using flat-rate price book, communicates with supervisors and clients, and participates in safety trainings. Engages with apprentices and technicians to achieve project goals and respond to dispatch calls. Requires proficiency with safety practices, documentation, and continuous learning to stay current with industry developments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Sheetmetal S2/S1 or D2 or D4 license
- Must be enrolled in or completed required trade school as required by state apprentice regulations
- A minimum of 2-3 years of related work experience preferred but not required
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
