Sheet Metal Superintendent

Job Summary
Direct team members on work activities and organize resource scheduling. Read complex blueprints and equipment packaging lists for assembly. Solve complex job-related problems or bring solutions to the project manager and/or director of operations. Liaise with client representatives and attend all project meetings. Perform safety talks, maintain tool inspection reports, and submit employee time to the office. Conduct performance reviews for permanent and temporary staff. Requires 5+ years of sheet metal layout and installation experience, 1-5 years managing projects and personnel, and a valid driver's license. Validated for background check and drug test. Involves very heavy physical demands including lifting up to 115 lbs and exposure to extreme weather, high noise, and electrical hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with sheet metal lay-out and installation
- Must be able to work with variety of tools
- Have 1-5 years of experience managing projects and personnel
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
- Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing
- Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping
- Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to talk and hear
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (maximum solo lift)
- Constant lifting to 25 lbs
- Material Handling: lifting from floor level to overhead
- Occasional lifting up to 115 lbs
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs
- Constant lifting up to 25 lbs
