Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Summary
Fit and assemble complex aerospace sheet metal hardware in preparation for weld to product specifications. Responsibilities include shearing, forming, rolling, bending, and straightening sheet metal hardware, setting up metalworking equipment, trimming, hand finishing, cleaning, and pressure testing aerospace hardware. The role requires the ability to read manufacturing plans and blueprints, along with a solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts. Candidates must demonstrate dependability and professionalism, and have 5 years of relevant sheet metal experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience with sheet metal, preferably in aerospace environment
- Able to read manufacturing operations and tooling planning Sheets
- Able to read blueprints and have some experience with GD&T
- Proficient computer skills
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
- This person is required to have the necessary tools to perform the job
Desired Qualifications
- Prior weld experience is a plus
