Job Summary
Sheet Metal Mechanic will work as part of the Jennings Air & Mechanical construction team in Charleston, SC, installing sheet metal ductwork on various heating and cooling systems. Duties include analyzing blueprints to determine fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal goods; installing ductwork such as TDF, TDC, Slip and Drive, Spiral, and Snap-lock; performing field modifications, cuts, miters, transitions, plenums, and repairs; optimizing HVAC system installation for maximum efficiency; and maintaining punctuality. Requires reading blueprints, removal and installation of HVAC duct systems, following directions accurately, and a clean background check; OSHA 10 preferred; 3 years' experience preferred with training available. Required Qualifications
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and product specifications
- Skilled in the removal and installation of HVAC duct systems
- Must have a clean background check
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Preferred experience of 3 years, although we can train the right candidate
