Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, and modify sheet metal parts and complex aerospace assemblies to meet exacting standards using press brakes, punch presses, drill motors, and grinders. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings with high accuracy; perform inspections with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to ensure parts meet quality requirements. Identify and troubleshoot non-conformance issues, adjust machinery and techniques, maintain safety and cleanliness, and support career growth within aerospace sheet metal fabrication.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- advanced training in sheet metal fabrication or aerospace manufacturing (preferred)
- minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace sheet metal fabrication or related field
- expertise in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- proficiency operating complex sheet metal machinery (press brakes, rivet machines, notchers, milling machines)
- ability to maintain precise standards with attention to detail
