Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC ductwork systems, including fabricating sheet metal components and installing insulation to improve energy efficiency. Read blueprints, inspect ductwork, identify and repair leaks, and ensure proper airflow. Work with sheet metal and flexible ductwork in residential, commercial, and industrial settings; use tools such as shears, brakes, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, leak detection devices, and refrigerant recovery machines. Perform diagnostic assessments, diagnose issues, and implement solutions. Requires physical labor, climbing ladders or using a scissor lift, outdoor work in varying weather, and adherence to PPE protocols. Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are required; position reports to office in Holt, FL with surrounding-area locations; typical hours 6:30 AM–3:00 PM with schedule variations based on production. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction experience
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork design, and installation techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and understand architectural and HVAC plans
- Must be able to work on a ladder or scissor lift
- Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Attention to detail, ensuring accurate measurements, connections, and sealing of ductwork
- Customer service skills
