Sheet Metal Machinist (2nd Shift)

Job Summary

Drill, countersink, deburr, tap, and die parts per drawings while retrieving job information and reviewing raw materials for defects. Complete machine change-overs, manufacture parts to specifications, and perform post-machining deburring and inspections. Document quantities via ERP, troubleshoot issues, and conduct simple maintenance and tool wear monitoring. Train operators, collaborate on lean improvements, and maintain a clean work area following safety procedures. Work Monday through Thursday 2:30pm–1:00am with some Saturdays on a 4/10 holiday schedule. Requires high school diploma and two years sheet metal machining experience.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED
  • Trade school or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years Sheet Metal Machining
  • Ability to set up machines
  • Ability to read standard blueprints
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics through geometry
  • Ability to provide some tools and gauges necessary to perform assignments
  • Ability to bend, lift and push up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to wear safety equipment when working with equipment in the shop
