Job Summary
Drill, countersink, deburr, tap, and die parts per drawings while retrieving job information and reviewing raw materials for defects. Complete machine change-overs, manufacture parts to specifications, and perform post-machining deburring and inspections. Document quantities via ERP, troubleshoot issues, and conduct simple maintenance and tool wear monitoring. Train operators, collaborate on lean improvements, and maintain a clean work area following safety procedures. Work Monday through Thursday 2:30pm–1:00am with some Saturdays on a 4/10 holiday schedule. Requires high school diploma and two years sheet metal machining experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent GED
- Trade school or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years Sheet Metal Machining
- Ability to set up machines
- Ability to read standard blueprints
- Knowledge of shop mathematics through geometry
- Ability to provide some tools and gauges necessary to perform assignments
- Ability to bend, lift and push up to 70 pounds
- Ability to wear safety equipment when working with equipment in the shop
