Job Summary
Insulates HVAC ductwork and piping by installing fiberglass, elastomeric materials (Armaflex), foam glass, and mineral wool, and participates in field take-offs and material inventories. Reads plans and working drawings to determine installation sequence and engages in assembly and installation of sheet metal duct insulation. Must work on elevated ground, maintain balance on restricted levels, and contribute to a strong safety culture while operating in varied environments and weather. Requires OSHA 10 or 30 certification, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and strong communication; candidate should be team-oriented with basic sheet-metal math skills and a neat, professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
- 1 Year experience insulating mechanical ductwork and piping
- OSHA 10 or 30
- Knowledge of local and state codes
- Experience insulating HVAC ductwork, chilled water piping, heating hot water piping, and mechanical equipment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Good verbal communication skills
- Basic competence in sheet-metal mathematics
- Team oriented with the ability to work well and communicate with others
- Neat, professional appearance
