Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork, vents, and sheet metal components for new construction HVAC systems while reading blueprints and interpreting drawings to ensure accurate layout. Install and connect air handlers and HVAC equipment on new builds, then cross-train on residential replacement and swap-out projects to provide steady year-round work. Inspect and test installed systems to confirm proper airflow and performance, troubleshooting and resolving issues with sheet metal components and duct systems. Work closely with install teams, project leads, and builders to keep jobs on schedule and on budget while following all safety protocols and jobsite regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Solid experience in sheet metal fabrication and ductwork installation
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Comfort reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing ductwork and system issues
- Reliable
- Safety-minded
- Able to work well as part of a crew
Desired Qualifications
- NH Sheet Metal License preferred
- Field experience in both new construction and residential service/replacement is a plus
