Job Summary
Select gauge and type of sheet metal, supervise craft workers, and interpret specifications, blueprints, and work orders for assigned areas. Direct installation of assemblies, enforce safety regulations, and establish work sequences to meet construction schedules using knowledge of equipment and personnel capabilities. Study schedules, estimate worker-hour requirements, analyze work problems, and coordinate project activities with other trades and subcontractors. Maintain time records, provide input for project estimates, and work with the project manager to coordinate deliveries. Occasional travel required. Competitive pay plus OT up to $42 an hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience working on construction sites and have followed construction safety guidelines
- Experience with planning, layout, fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing sheet metal parts, equipment and products, utilizing a knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machining, and layout techniques
- Ability to interpret specifications, blue prints and work orders
- Ability to analyze and solve work problems
- Ability to study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion
- Experience leading craft workers and coordinating activities
- Occasional Travel

- Ability to use MS Office to include Outlook email
