Job Summary

Oversee and coordinate the installation of HVAC duct systems and equipment, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with codes and specifications. Supervise daily crew activities, read blueprints and submittals to determine work methods, and plan task assignments to optimize labor, equipment, and materials. Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records including timekeeping, logs, and safety documentation. Conduct inspections, lead safety meetings, and provide hands-on training to apprentices and journeymen. Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and subcontractors to maintain workflow and provide accurate completion projections. Manage subcontactors under your specific trade and ensure job sites remain clean and secure.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of HVAC Sheetmetal experience
  • Journeyman-level work
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • In-depth understanding of codes
  • In-depth understanding of commercial HVAC systems
  • In-depth understanding of blueprints
  • In-depth understanding of construction methods
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings
  • Strong understanding of specifications
  • Strong understanding of scheduling practices
  • Proficiency with tools
  • Proficiency with trade math
  • Ability to manage personnel
  • Ability to allocate resources
