Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal components by interpreting blueprints and specifications; measure, cut, shape, and assemble parts using hand tools, shears, and press brakes; operate TIG, MIG, or spot welding equipment to join metal parts; inspect finished work for quality and safety; perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery; select materials and manage inventory; maintain a safe work environment and collaborate with teammates to complete projects on schedule. Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication and familiarity with HVAC ductwork fabrication are preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with welding or metal fabrication certification a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or related field
- Proficiency in using metal fabrication tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical drawings
- Knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
