Sheet Metal Fabricator - Commercial Roofing

Job Summary
Fabricate architectural sheet metal components including flashings, copings, edge metals, gutters, and downspouts by reading shop drawings, blueprints, and project specifications. Operate fabrication equipment such as brakes, shears, folders, roll formers, and seamers to cut, bend, and form materials like galvanized steel, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel. Produce custom parts to precise dimensions while inspecting finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements. Maintain production logs, coordinate fabrication timelines with project managers, and ensure a safe shop environment following OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication
- Experience in commercial roofing
- Experience in architectural sheet metal
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
- Experience operating sheet metal shop equipment
- Experience operating brakes
- Experience operating shears
- Experience operating roll formers
- Strong measurement skills
- Strong layout skills
- Basic math skills
- Familiarity working with various metal types
- Familiarity working with various metal gauges
- Attention to detail
- Commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Driver's license
