Job Summary
Sheet Metal Fabricator - 2nd shift responsible for preparing, fabricating, and cutting metal products for assembly using machines such as presses, shears, saws, and lathes. Tasks include lay-out of stock, setting up and operating brake press tooling, reading blueprints and production orders, inspecting with calipers and gauges, moving materials with a forklift, and cross-training in welding/m welding techniques. Maintains safe, efficient production and quality by following procedures and applying mathematics for measurements, tolerances, and bend radii.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing or construction environment (preferred)
- 2+ years' experience with operating press brake/shear (preferred)
- Experience driving and operate a forklift (desired)
- Experience using a roll table (a plus)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Mathematics skills for tolerances and measurements
