Job Summary
Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to build enclosures and components using hand and power tools. Operate laser cutting machines to produce precise cuts and perform GTAW welding to assemble fabricated parts. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide fabrication while ensuring all work meets safety, fit, and finish standards. Assist machinists with machine setup and teardown, maintain a clean workspace, and transport materials as needed. Collaborate with supervisors and trades to contribute to productivity improvement discussions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in reading blueprints
- Basic math for measurements
- Basic computer skills
- Familiarity with laser cutting machines
- Familiarity with laser cutting machine safety procedures
- Familiarity with precision work
- Able to follow verbal instructions
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving
- Communication
- Ability to work in a team
- Strength to lift 50 pounds
- Good hand-eye coordination
- GTAW experience
- Must be available for weekend shifts
