Job Summary
The Welder/Fabricator role (SHEAR OPERATOR) involves positioning, fitting, and welding metal components into subassemblies per blueprints and engineering specs, using jigs and hand tools, performing layout and measurement with squares, rulers, and tape measures, tack-welding and grinding to meet specifications, and operating various fabrication equipment. Candidate must read engineering drawings, measure with precision, handle materials safely, and uphold quality, dimensional, and safety standards in a production manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years welding/fabrication experience required
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, depth gauges, and fixed gauges
- Capable of standing for extended shifts
- Ability to work safely in a production environment
