Job Summary
Bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders. Operate a shearing machine, bending machine, Fabmatic machine, overhead crane, and power saw to fabricate bars to specified lengths. Read production tags, shop drawings, and cut lists to ensure accuracy. Unload trailers, store material, assemble orders, and apply epoxy touch-up using a spray gun. Maintain the shop in a clean and safe manner and assist other employees. Overtime and any shift work may be required. Some heavy lifting is necessary in a noisy, dusty, hot, or cold environment. Adhere strictly to shop safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years experience in rebar shop setting
- Experience operating a shearing machine
- Basic math skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work overtime hours
- Ability to work any shift
- Familiarity with and adherence to shop safety policies and procedures
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting
