Job Summary
Lead day-to-day and long-term SHE operations for Roche Diagnostics’ Carlsbad and San Diego facilities, directing a 24/6 manufacturing and R&D environment. Build and maintain a comprehensive SHE management system aligned with corporate directives and regulatory requirements; drive proactive safety, health, and environmental initiatives; lead a SHE team to protect employees, environment, property, and business continuity; monitor KPIs and drive continual improvement; participate in investigations of incidents and support audits and inspections; manage department finances and liaison with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science and/or Engineering-related field
- 8+ years in a similar SHE leadership role
- Professional certifications such as CIH, CSP, CBSP, or REM preferred
- Experience in project management, organizational change management, and working in matrix/multicultural environments
- Experience working with diverse senior leaders and effective communication in English
- Willingness to regular travel between local sites and occasional travel to US and international locations
