Job Summary
SHE Manager responsible for implementing ISO standards and the SHEQ policy across the Yorkshire and East Midlands regions, ensuring effective operation and resource use, providing equal SHEQ support, guiding regions on technical and legal issues, coordinating with HSE, Environment Agency, insurers and other bodies on incidents, auditing sites, and driving improvement through incident reports, trend analysis, and regional strategies. Requires NEBOSH Diploma in H&S Management or equivalent, Environmental Qualification, CITB Temporary Works Certification, CDM knowledge, construction/refurbishment site experience, specialist safety knowledge (asbestos/scaffolding/fire and gas), strong stakeholder communication, and flexible leadership across multiple levels.
Required Qualifications
- NEBOSH Diploma in H&S Management or equivalent
- Environmental Qualification
- Recognised Temporary Works Certificate accredited to CITB
- Knowledge of construction and CDM
- Previous experience on small/medium construction and refurbishment sites
- Specialist knowledge in a relevant subject area (e.g., asbestos, scaffolding, fire and gas safety)
- Good and development relationships with operational safety leadership
- First rate communication and influencing skills
- Flexible – able to work at all levels and at hands on level
