Job Summary
Champion Health, Safety & Environmental management on site by driving the site EHS strategy, implementing internal standards, and ensuring full compliance with group, customer, and legal requirements. Act as the site's expert resource for employer liability claims, manage accident and incident investigations, and oversee environmental waste contractors and the physicochemical wastewater treatment plant. Lead the Birds Eye audit programme, liaise with external bodies including HSA and EPA, and deliver EHS training while maintaining accurate records for the IPPC license and annual environmental reports.

- Good interpersonal skills – proven ability to work effectively on a Team and with other departments
- Striving constantly to raise the standards in EHS
- Have the ability to identify and foresee potential problems from an EHS perspective, to identify solutions and implement in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills
- Well developed analytical, numerical and computer skills
- Cost awareness / Uses resources effectively
- The role will require flexibility on a weekly basis to ensure that any EHS issues can be addressed
- Positively influence people from all departments
- PC / SAP skills
- Experience in EHS Management
- Environmental and Health and Safety degree or equivalent
- Exposure to and knowledge of EHS within a high speed production and processing environment
