Shaw Sports Turf Territory Manager

Job Summary
Use a consultative approach with end users, distributors, contractors, architects, and engineers to select appropriate synthetic turf systems that fit usage requirements, budgets, and project timelines. Establish and grow relationships with distribution partners while prospecting for new project opportunities within the Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming market. Travel throughout the assigned area to call on existing customers, solicit business, and present Shaw's products to stakeholders, school boards, and facilities management personnel. Build trust through in-person networking events such as lunches and dinners, and attend regional and national conventions when required. Manage territory activities through CRM tools like Salesforce.com while maintaining awareness of local market dynamics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 years previous outside sales experience or qualified sales training program completion
- 50% to 75% Travel required
- Must reside within territory
- Must be able to give presentations to end-users, school boards, facilities management personnel, senior level stake holders in athletic programs, architects, and engineers, among others, to educate them how Shaw Sports Turf can benefit them in their facilities
- Must be able and competent to work with and manage territory thru CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool such as Salesforce.com and other digital environments
- Must be able to understand basic biomechanics and sports science principles and how they relate to sports turf systems while being able to communicate those to customers concisely
- Must be motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment with a widespread support team stretching multiple time zones
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in athletic field construction or comparable
- Experience selling in the public sector
- Experience in the athletic industry
