Job Summary
Register patients and perform registration-related tasks including obtaining patient consents, collecting financial paperwork and co-payments; handle insurance verification and related paperwork, schedule procedures, answer phones, and coordinate front-desk activities. Communicate with patients to assist access to care, respond to inquiries, and follow up as needed. Conduct non-clinical issue resolution with strong customer service, perform ongoing documentation audits for medical necessity and payor requirements (e.g., Medicare), generate and distribute reminders and recall letters, organize and scan medical records, manage office correspondence, and ensure compliance with CMS requirements, HIPAA, EMTLA, and Joint Commission standards. Supports pre- and post-exam instructions, maintains EMR records, and participates in departmental meetings and inventory management. Requires ability to navigate various computer-based systems and provide accurate information to patients and payors.
