Job Summary
Organize, implement, and support instructional strategies for gifted students in alignment with district, state, and federal priorities. Facilitate professional development for staff and parents regarding TAG guidelines while using assessments to identify and monitor student growth. Plan and develop programs that integrate culturally responsive, social-emotional learning, and trauma-informed practices. Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum directors, and community organizations to promote learning opportunities and ensure open communication with diverse stakeholders. Maintain regular on-time attendance and utilize technology fluently to manage job components.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of K-12 Education
- Knowledge of child growth and development at each level of instruction
- Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations
- Work within the district's communicable disease control plan (blood borne pathogens)
- Awareness of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on MSDS sheets
- B.A.
- M.A.
- Second language
- A minimum of three years of teaching experience
- Appropriate licensure with TSPC
- Ability to work with children, parents, and school personnel
- Dependable transportation
- Current driver's license
- Good driving record
