Job Summary
Evaluate documents and conduct on-site inspections to verify that ingredients, manufacturing methods, and logistics adhere to Shariah principles. Apply deep knowledge of Fiqh, Hadith, and Quranic principles to resolve complex certification questions regarding Islamic dietary laws and Tayyib purity. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure scientific processes align strictly with religious standards and Islamic Jurisprudence. Prepare detailed audit reports with technical auditors while maintaining high attention to detail and organization. This project-based, on-demand role requires local travel for inspections, preferably in New Jersey, New York, or Connecticut. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies, Shariah Law, Hadith Sciences, or Arabic Language & Islamic Literature. Successful candidates will receive specialized training in Indonesia.
Required Qualifications
- Currently residing in the United States
- U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Islamic Studies
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Shariah Law (Fiqh)
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Hadith Sciences
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Arabic Language & Islamic Literature
- Deep expertise in Islamic Dietary Laws and Halal/Haram distinctions
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply classical Fiqh to modern industrial contexts
- Ability to travel locally to conduct on-site inspections and audits
- Ability to work alongside the technical auditor
- Ability to evaluate documents and conduct on site inspections
- Ability to verify that ingredients, manufacturing methods and logistics adhere to Shariah principles
- Ability to apply deep knowledge of Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Hadith and Quranic principles
- Ability to resolve complex certification questions
- Ability to evaluate the ethical and religious compliance of processes
- Ability to provide expert oversight on Islamic dietary laws
- Ability to ensure that Tayyib (purity) is maintained throughout the supply chain
- Ability to coordinate with technical teams
- Ability to ensure scientific processes do not conflict with religious standards
