Job Summary
Lead a mainframe team in z/OS administration, performance management, hardware configuration, and DR solution implementation; oversee daily operations, escalation, and disaster recovery; research and implement strategic mainframe technologies; ensure compliance with departmental policies; perform performance/capacity planning; manage hardware/software upgrade projects; track software versions; liaise with vendors for capacity planning; stay current with emerging mainframe technologies; document procedures; manage budget and cost planning for hardware/software lifecycles; strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills expected; 20+ years preferred for senior-level capability in large-scale infrastructure management; experience with IBM z/OS required or equivalent enterprise Unix/AIX/Linux infrastructure experience.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering or a related field and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, complex IT infrastructure engineering
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, complex IT infrastructure engineering
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
