Job Summary
The Shared Services Associate will manage and process Hilco Global's AP/AR functions, including reviewing vendor invoices for payment, processing payments via checks/ACH/EFT, issuing invoices to customers, applying funds to cash, and reconciling AP/AR ledgers. Responsibilities include vendor/customer communications to resolve discrepancies, assisting with month-end close and cash-flow forecasting, maintaining organized documentation, and providing daily/monthly reporting. The role supports process improvements, ensures compliance with internal controls and policies, and works with accounting software (e.g., Workday, Oracle) and Excel to support treasury and operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable, receivable, finance, or accounting, preferably within a financial services company
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Workday, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
- Knowledge of financial controls and compliance regulations
