Job Summary
Shared Living Providers support individuals with developmental disabilities in day-to-day activities, including personal care, budgeting, accessing medical care, and developing social skills. Providers are independent contractors responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment. Priority is given to mutual growth, regular communication with a support team, and participants must have skills in trauma-informed practices. The position offers a tax-free stipend between $36,000-$60,000 per year, room and board reimbursement, ongoing training, and support.
Required Qualifications
- Reside in or near Rutland County, Vermont, contiguous towns, in other counties and in NYS
- Willingness to learn and participate in required trainings
- Willingness to meet someone where they’re at and help them grow
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pass a background check
- Willing to welcome an individual into your home
- Use trauma informed practices and knowledge of de-escalating challenging behaviors
