Job Summary
Transport the individual to medical appointments, activities, and daily outings while maintaining a safe, clean home environment. Assist with daily living skills and help achieve individual goals through consistent support and advocacy. Complete monthly paperwork and ensure all adults in the home meet safety, health, and background check requirements. Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. This contracted role offers flexible home-based care with payments covering room and board plus a daily rate, ideal for families seeking to provide a nurturing environment for an adult with intellectual disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- All adults in the home must pass a Criminal Background Check
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have experience providing support to individual(s) with disabilities
- Meet home/apartment safety and health requirements
- Complete pre-service training requirements
- Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Have good judgment
- Have a positive attitude
