Job Summary
Operate a shag truck to move semi-trailers between loading docks and company facilities. Responsibilities include spotting correct trailers into dock doors, securing trailers for safe forklift operation, loading cargo, inspecting equipment, and maintaining accurate work records. Work environment is a warehouse with extreme temperatures and dust; physical labor is required regularly. Shift is 12:00 pm–8:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Requires Class A CDL, English proficiency related to safety regulations, and a forklift license (hazmat endorsement is a plus). Focus on safety, quality, and timely completion of tasks while complying with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to safety regulations
- Must be able to obtain forklift license through Highline Warren Distribution
- Shag driving experience preferred but not required
- Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
- Able to safely operate shag truck and powered industrial equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse work and safety procedures
- Attention to detail and ability to perform arithmetic operations as required
- Ability to follow procedures and document work accurately
