Job Summary
Spot and pull all trailers in and out of dock doors while following proper pull light procedures. Ensure every trailer has a nose stand and is properly chocked, then wash and sanitize outbound loads before loading. Monitor temperatures, fuel levels, and refrigeration units to protect product, seal finished loads, and maintain seal integrity on Tyson property. Keep the truck yard free of debris and trash, maintain good traffic flow for outside drivers, and perform pre-trip inspections on shag trucks to report defects immediately. Adhere to all PBX Shag Procedures and Training, prioritizing safety while operating equipment. Maintain daily cleanliness of shag trucks and communicate clearly via radio with team members and management to ensure coordination. Work all shifts, including overtime and weekends, wearing proper safety equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months tractor/trailer driving experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months
- Must be able and willing to wear all proper safety equipment
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends, if required
- Must possess strong communication skills
- Ability to clearly convey and understand instructions
- Ability to collaborate with team members
- Ability to respond appropriately in various situations, including emergencies
- Effective communication over radio
- Effective communication with all levels of management
