Job Summary
Conduct underground shaft maintenance activities including air leg drilling, ground support installation, and rehabilitation works. Assist Boilermakers with shaft steelwork installation and replacement programs while performing general labouring and mining support duties. Operate equipment safely in accordance with site procedures and standards, maintaining current Australian Driver's Licence and High Risk Work Licence for forklift. This role offers $54.29 per hour plus allowances, earning up to $73 per hour, on a permanent full-time basis. Work involves a 7 days on/7 days off roster with 12-hour alternating day and night shifts, with accommodation provided. Previous experience in underground mining environments and relevant safety certifications are required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating air legs in an underground mining environment
- Experience with ground support and rehabilitation work
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and D&A testing
- FIFO or DIDO
- 12 hour shifts – alternating between day shift and night shift each swing
- 7 days on / 7 days off roster
- Accommodation provided
