Job Summary
Perform general landscape maintenance including soil preparation, planting, watering, trimming, herbicide treatment, and small tree removal. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, front-end loaders, tractors, and skid steers, while also using chainsaws, blowers, and hand tools. Execute general labor tasks like irrigation installation, walkway maintenance, lighting setup, and park event assistance. Work as part of an assigned crew, respond to work orders for repairs, and maintain accurate daily duty logs. Adhere to park policies and OSHA regulations while working outside in any weather, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong knowledge of landscape best practices and equipment operation
- Experience with heavy equipment operation as well as basic landscape tools and shop equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to professionally interact with other shops and various departments
- Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management
- Ability to write, speak and comprehend English
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting up to 100 lbs, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
- Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends and holidays
- Valid Drivers' License and clean DMV report
