Job Summary
Provide medical care and medically related transportation for Six Flags employees and guests while maintaining First Aid equipment and facilities. Complete medical records, reports, and safety inspections including ride audits as requested by management. Respond to and mitigate emergency situations, resolve guest concerns, and ensure image, cleanliness, and courtesy standards are met throughout the park. Refrain from consuming any substance that may impair judgment and maintain an atmosphere of teamwork. This seasonal role supports Six Flags' commitment to guest safety and quality patient care through EMS and First Aid Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be licensed by the Georgia State Office of EMS/Trauma as EMT-I, AEMT, EMR, EMT-B, or Paramedic
- MUST BE at least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Maintain applicable National Registry certifications (EMT-P, EMTâI, EMT-CT)
- Possess and maintain a valid and current park driving permit
- Ability to lift, carry, manipulate, and operate medical equipment, in excess of 75 pounds
- Ability to walk, run, bend, stoop and crawl on uneven terrain
- Ability to withstand varied environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, moisture, dryness, etc
- Ability to perform EMS and occupational functions as required
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagnostic form instructions
- Ability to use good judgment and remain calm in high-stress situations
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with loud noises and flashing lights
- Ability to function effectively through an entire shift or assignment
- Ability to calculate weight and volume ratios and read small print, both under life-threatening time restrictions
- Ability to read, converse and understand English
- Ability to appropriately interview patients, family members, bystanders, and witnesses
- Ability to document in writing, all relevant information in a prescribed format
