Job Summary
Operate light boards, audio consoles, and special effects equipment for live shows and events while executing cues exactly as designed by production staff. Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on sound systems, lighting fixtures, and technical components, navigating scenic elements in dark or restrictive spaces. Assist with rehearsals, manage the house before and after shows, and maintain a clean, safe atmosphere by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning storage areas. Adhere to park policies, enforce safety procedures, and train new personnel as needed. This role requires climbing ladders over 35 feet, lifting 50 pounds, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Age: 18
- Knowledge of technical theater, including but not limited to: theater safety, audio and lighting systems, special effects, maintenance and repair
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for the length of shift
- Must be able to work with ladders, scaffolding or lifts
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
- Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
