Job Summary
Operate amusement rides by standing at control panels, pressing buttons, and visually monitoring for flashing lights while enforcing height restrictions and checking restraints. Monitor guests during the ride cycle, validate Fast Passes, manage merge points, and respond to emergencies until a supervisor arrives. Physically check and manually open restraints, assist guests exiting rides, and maintain ride area cleanliness by sweeping debris and emptying trash. Complete the International Ride Operator Certification course and pass proficiency tests. Report unsafe acts immediately. Work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and various weather conditions outdoors.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years or older
- In rides you must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shift
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to uphold safety policies consistently
