Job Summary
Feed, clean, and perform daily husbandry for large felines including tigers, lions, cheetahs, and cougars. Administer medication as directed and record daily entries into logbooks regarding animal care and behaviors. Safely back up and walk assigned animals around the park while handling them in and out of the park as needed. Answer guest questions concerning animal care, diet, and general park information in a polite and informative manner. Maintain equipment and enclosures while following all department and park policies. Assist other team members and departments as required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience with Large Animals
- Timely and be able to be available to work at any time of the day
- Must be in excellent physical condition and possess the mental capacities to perform the essential job duties
- Must be able to lift equipment up to 50lbs
- Must possess the physical dexterity to hold and maneuver equipment
- Must be able to walk and move quickly between different areas
- Good public speaking ability
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Must possess the physical and mental awareness to work with very large strong animals
- Must be available to work weekend and holiday
- Must possess a valid driver's license
