Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate facility-related maintenance including fiber glass, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, A/C shop, electrical, and wooden coaster structures, while managing the Life Support department, dive operations, and water quality. Serve as Chairman of the Dive Control Board and member of the Animal Welfare Committee to review research requests and ensure park compliance with legislation. Interface with regulatory agencies and accrediting organizations to maintain all standards, while strategically coordinating asset maintenance, repair, and budget estimates with cost reduction in mind. Perform daily site inspections of ongoing work and review upcoming projects to ensure safe, timely completion without affecting guest or team member experience. Maintain CAL OSHA Safety Standards and other policies, prioritize work orders, select vendors, and prepare requisitions. Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays required.
Required Qualifications
- at least five years facility maintenance or related experience
- at least five years supervisory or project management experience
- working knowledge of CAL OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations
- good organization skills and be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- excellent written and oral communication, math and interpersonal skills
- strong leadership and motivational skills
- ability to access all areas of the park
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to bend, squatting and kneeling
- thorough working knowledge of the operation of hand and power tools, art equipment, paint sprayers, lawn and garden equipment, heavy equipment, etc.
- valid driver's license and a clear driving record
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office software, Mobaro, and/or Maximo maintenance management system preferred
