SF-BA Behavior Therapist (NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY)

Job Summary
Conduct 1:1 Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy sessions for children, teens, and young adults with Autism or related disabilities, teaching verbal, social, and educational skills. Complete case management duties by updating Clinical Supervisors, documenting progress in Catalyst data and SOAP notes, and ensuring 100% adherence to scheduled sessions. Maintain strict HIPAA compliance while responding to all internal and family communications within 24 hours. Submit weekly schedules by Saturday 8pm and pass the Registered Behavior Technician exam within 180 days. Travel up to 25 miles and work weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in the use of Technology (e.g., Computer, iPad)
- Able to work weekends as needed/required by the company
- Must complete on-going training to support job competency
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- Ability to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including the use of electronic devices
- Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
- Visual acuity for reading and interpreting data, observing client behavior, and ensuring a safe environment
- Ability to see, hear, and speak articulately
- Ability to run (in the event the client elopes/or leaves the area)
- Ability to block physical aggression (when needed)
- Required minimum travel range of 25 miles
- Ability to complete 1:1 clinical therapy sessions
- Ability to update Clinical Supervisor with any information regarding case
- Ability to discuss case details with Clinical Supervisor prior to going into client's home
- Ability to complete source documentation in the form of Catalyst data and SOAP notes
- Ability to render schedule at the end of each session
- Ability to look through NPA works, confirm schedule and render every night
- Ability to respond to family's e-mails and/or phone calls within 24 hours
- Ability to fill in necessary hours to maximize every contract
- Ability to receive constructive feedback with professionalism (Monthly Feedback Forms and goal setting)
- Ability to address case concerns in a timely manner
- Ability to respond to every communication attempt with internal staff (i.e., supervisors, office administrators, assigned BCBA mentors, directors) within 24 hours
- Ability to communicate all policy/protocol related issues immediately to Human Resources department
- Ability to communicate any Information and Technology ("IT") issues that would hinder the ability to perform work duties
- Mandatory attendance at all mandatory company meetings
- Ability to be fluent in updated/current policies
- Ability to adhere to those policies
- Ability to ensure knowledge of these policies is followed through
- Ability to remain HIPAA compliant at all times ensuring all client files are protected including text messages, e-mails and phone conversations
- Ability to Attend all Creative Solutions for Hope companywide trainings
- Ability to Complete and pass the Registered Behavior Technician exam through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board within 180 days of completing the Registered Behavior Technician Training
- Ability to Notify Supervisor and Family of staff cancellation and send in a cancellation email to cancellations@cs4hope.com
- Ability to Complete all assigned tasks on time (to be determined per assignment)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- CPR or BLS certification
- Registered Behavior Technician credential (RBT)
- Experience working with children that have been diagnosed with Autism or with other intellectual disabilities
