Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive sexual health care for clients in Calgary, including administering HIV point-of-care testing, performing phlebotomy, and initiating PrEP therapy under supervision. Deliver pre- and post-test counselling for HIV and STBBI, providing risk reduction education and behavioural support while maintaining confidential, stigma-free documentation. Manage medication adherence counselling and follow-up care for clients, ensuring all interactions align with organizational policies and regulatory standards. This part-time role requires active RN registration in Alberta and experience with LGBTQ2S+ populations, supporting our mission to improve access to complex care for underserved communities.

Required Qualifications

  • An active registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
  • 3+ years of experience in a clinical nursing role
  • Excellent proficiency in phlebotomy and administration of SC/IM injections
  • Clinical experience in a semi-independent practice role in the care of medical patients and/or sexual health
  • Proficiency in adhering to established policies and procedures
  • A flexible mindset and a positive approach to change
  • Availability for daytime and evening shifts, with openness to weekend shifts that may begin in the near term, including the possibility of virtual weekend coverage
  • A calm and non-judgmental communication style
  • Excellent communication skills and empathetic care delivery
  • Ability to commute to our in-person care locations in downtown Calgary, with the flexibility to provide virtual support as required
  • Availability to support our clinics during peak hours: Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Friday and Saturday day time

  • Experience working in the private sector, a start-up, or a technology company
  • Experience working from a trauma-informed lens
