Job Summary
Sexual Health Advocate for HIV testing, STI screenings, counseling, and non-medical case management within a harm-reduction framework. Responsibilities include conducting rapid HIV and HCV testing and pregnancy testing, providing patient counseling before/after tests, linking newly diagnosed HIV+ individuals to medical services, maintaining confidential records and data for monthly reports, performing outreach to educate the MSM community, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate client-centered care, and supporting program goals to reduce stigma and improve access to HIV-related resources. The role requires strong communication, data/documentation skills, adherence to confidentiality, and ability to work in community settings and offsite locations. Starting pay is $48,000 with benefits (health, dental, vision, 403(b), PTO, holidays, EAP).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required) or equivalent experience
- Two years of experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel in personal vehicle
- Background check, fingerprinting, drug test
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- HIPAA, OSHA training compliance
- Experience in HIV/AIDS services or public health education
