Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Emergency Department - PRN

Job Summary
Conduct timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care for sexual assault victims, including medical-forensic exams, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and referrals for medical and psychological follow-up. Coordinate support and participation in legal proceedings. Maintain a valid Texas RN license and current SANE certification from the Texas Attorney General office, or begin certification within six months of hire. Hold current TNCC certification or obtain it within six months. Work variable hours with a minimum of five 12-hour on-call shifts monthly, including nightshift availability based on program coverage. Two years of emergency department or acute care experience is preferred. Methodist Dallas Medical Center serves as the flagship hospital of Methodist Health System, featuring the only adult Level I Trauma Center in southern Dallas and the first and only Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in the region.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and Current Texas RN license
- Current SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification from the Texas Attorney General office or currently in-progress of certification and obtained within 6 months of hire
- Current TNCC, or required within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing- BSN preferred
- Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care Experience, preferred
