Job Summary
Provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to sexual assault victims through medical-forensic exams, prophylaxis, photographic documentation, and referrals for medical and psychological follow-up. Coordinate support and participation in legal proceedings. Maintain a valid Texas RN license and current SANE certification from the Texas Attorney General office. Complete two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care experience. Work variable hours with a minimum of five 12-hour on-call shifts monthly, including nightshift availability as needed for program coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and Current Texas RN license
- Current SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification from the Texas Attorney General office or currently in-progress of certification and obtained within 6 months of hire
- Current TNCC, or required within 6 months of hire
