Job Summary
The Sexual Assault Advocate will provide crisis counseling and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault, coordinate community education, and facilitate support groups. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and experience in advocacy or non-profit settings, with a preference for bilingual candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- One year experience working with survivors of sexual assault
- One year experience in a non-profit setting
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of violence toward women and children's issues
- Completion of Agency Training within 6 months of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Previously worked in a non-profit setting
- Fluent in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, or Tagalog
- Excellent writing ability
- Public speaking skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be comfortable with serving incarcerated survivors in a jail setting
- Must maintain a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
