Job Summary
Sexual Assault Advocate responsible for direct advocacy and services to survivors of sexual assault, domestic abuse, and human trafficking across SW Iowa counties. Provides legal advocacy, individual or group counseling, safety planning, and coordination with CPS, mental health, and other service providers; coordinates 24-hour response with hospitals; conducts outreach, education campaigns, and community partnerships; assists with shelter access and transportation; documents client interactions and supporting data; requires flexibility for some evening/weekend hours and travel within the service area; Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-2 years of experience; strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field; 1-2 years related job experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
